Located about 40+ mins south of Palm Beach, the colorful murals that now grace the walls and buildings of San Nicolas are the result of an ambitious plan to revitalize the former industrial center with street art.

Start your walking tour and park by the Citgo gas station or the San Nicolas Visitors Center down the street.  

 

Spearheaded by local art entrepreneur Tito Bolivar, the Aruba Art Fair began in 2016 and has since transformed the city's once-deserted streets and dilapidated buildings into vibrant works of art.

Bolivar commissioned renowned international artists to create the murals, which feature a range of subjects including multi-colored lion fish, staring flamingos, native Arubans, and surreal optical illusions.

 

Today, the fair has become a platform for 100 international and local artists to showcase their talents and nourish the creative roots of the island's people.

 

Whether you join an organized tour or explore on your own, don't miss the chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant art scene of San Nicolas and witness the beautiful murals that adorn its walls!

Rent a car and make a day of it!  Start early to make the most of it:)

Breakfast:  Gallo Rojo for some sweets or a breakfast sandwich or Groteberg Snack for a Johnny cake!

Then head south to Baby Beach and spend a few hours there. It's stunning and great for snorkeling & floating!

 

For a late lunch, head back north to Savaneta to Zeerover to feast on fresh seafood at
