Arikok National Park
Located southeast of the airport, Arikok National Park encompasses nearly 20% of Aruba's landmass, offering stunning views of the island's rugged terrain, desert hills dotted with towering cacti, and breathtaking coastlines.
The park also provides a protected habitat for native flora and fauna.
The bird image featured in the park's logo is a nod to the area's historical artistic expressions.
Along with its natural beauty, Arikok National Park has a rich cultural history as well.
The park includes the sites of old plantations, called Cunucus, which reveal the story of Aruba's challenging agricultural past.
These Cunucus also served as residential areas for the families who worked the land, and their homes were constructed from materials found in the surrounding area.
Today, two of these adobe houses have been restored and serve as a reminder of the resilience and resourcefulness of Aruba's early settlers.
We did a sunrise hike to the natural pool with Fins & Feet in Aruba. It was an amazing experience, we had the whole pool to ourselves almost the whole time!

Stop at Urataka Center for delicious lunch! Great local spot close to the entrance of the park!!
Arikok National Park is open 7 days a week (only closed on the 1st of January).
The San Fuego Entrance is open from Monday to Sunday from 08:00 am until 3:30 pm
The Vader Piet Entrance (San Nicolas) is open from Monday to Sunday from 08:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

You can use a regular car in most areas, but a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for off-road trails and to get to the natural Pool.
All-terrain vehicles (ATVs), utility task vehicles (UTVs) are prohibited.
