Water in Aruba

Aruba water is some of the BEST in the world!  I crave it when I'm not there.  No joke!

Since there is no freshwater source on the island, sea water is distilled in a saltwater desalination plant.  It’s incredibly pure and meets the highest quality standard by the World HealthOrganization

(WHO).

The faucet water is unlikely very cold, so we do usually buy a few large bottles of water at the store, and then re-fill from faucet and put in fridge overnight so we always have cold water ready to drink!  Or if the place we are staying has a pitcher, we refill that and put in fridge!

Pro Tip:

Be sure to bring a large insulated water bottle to keep that water cold so you'll drink it!  Gets warm FAST in the sun!  I LOVE my Owala, the straw feature means you never have to tilt it.  I completely upped my water intake because of this bottle!

The sun in Aruba is NO JOKE.  It's important to stay hydrated and drink water all day, especially if you are drinking alcohol!

The easiest way to do this is to start drinking water early in the day, have cold water ready to go and use your insulated water bottle!
