Aruba Glass Blowing/Art Experiences
What is Murano glass?
And why is it special?
Murano glass is a centuries-old art form from Murano, Italy, just outside Venice. Since the 13th century, master glassmakers have hand-blown each piece using secret techniques passed down through generations. Shaped at over 1300°F, every sculpture, bead, or ornament is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Now, you can witness this incredible craft in Aruba at Studio Murano Art, where the tradition continues right before your eyes!

Studio Murano Art
At Studio Murano Art in Aruba, visitors can immerse themselves in the captivating world of glassblowing.
Every day from 10 AM to 1 PM, the studio offers free demonstrations, allowing guests to witness firsthand the transformation of molten glass into intricate sculptures.
For those eager to get hands-on, the studio provides private interactive workshops led by master artisan Giuliano, a third-generation glassblower with over 35 years of experience. Participants can craft their own unique glass pieces under his expert guidance, making for an unforgettable experience.
I did the private workshop, which I HIGHLY recommend, and had an absolute blast! Be sure to make a reservation for this. I created a beautiful glass turtle, and Giuliano even made my boyfriend’s mom a stunning glass cross—such a special and meaningful touch.
Beyond the art, Studio Murano Art features a fantastic restaurant and bar inside a beautifully restored Aruban cunucu house. The food is excellent, with a large, diverse menu offering everything from local favorites to tasty pizzas, plus a full bar with ice-cold Chill beers. We eat here weekly when we’re on the island long-term—it’s that good! They are now open for breakfast too!
While you’re there, don’t miss the shop filled with unique Murano glass pieces that make perfect gifts or souvenirs.
