Caves in Aruba

Fontein Cave is popular for its Arawak Indian drawings and hanging crystals. Crouch down to see fruit bats and look for the water source, where you can paddle and get a free fish pedicure.

The Quadirikiri (Guadiriki) cave is renowned for its two sunlit chambers, illuminated through natural skylights in the roof. The cave stretches for approximately 100 feet and hosts numerous harmless bats in its darker sections.

Huliba Cave goes by several names, including Tunnel of Love, Baranca Sunu Cave, and Naked Rock. Its entrance is shaped like a heart, and there are four additional entryways to the Tunnel of Love. Legend has it that local pirates once concealed their stolen treasure in this cavern, and wandering through the narrow, dark passages, one can easily picture the pirates guarding their valuable loot, hidden away within the depths of the cave. *This may be closed*

These caves are accessed through Arikok National Park, entrance fees apply.

PRO TIP:

Bring a flashlight if you really want to explore!

The natural cave pool in Aruba is an unforgettable spot.

Located near the Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins, it's less crowded than the more famous Conchi Aruba natural pool in Santa Cruz.

The pool sits dramatically next to a steep ledge and is constantly pounded by powerful waves.

Accessing the pool requires climbing a steep ladder, so safety and mobility should be considered before proceeding.

Once there, you can relax in the first small cave with its sandy bottom and still water, perfect for non-swimmers.

If you're up for more adventure, you can continue to the larger cave with a deeper, rocky and sandy pool.

The effect of the rough surf has created two small cave areas from the rocky wall. It's a beautiful, unspoiled setting that's well worth the visit.

PRO TIP:

Wear Tennis shoes. Bring Water Shoes!

To safeguard and conserve the caves, certain ones are periodically shut down, either for a brief period or an extended duration. Heavy foot traffic from numerous tourists can result in damage to the caves. However, these closures are generally rotated, ensuring that there will always be a cave or two accessible for exploration and discovery.

Open 8-4 daily

Can get to all these places via regular car!
